Survivor Classes Database

Bite By Night replaces generic survivor avatars with four highly specialized classes. Victory is not predicated on individual skill alone — it relies on the synergistic deployment of these specific roles. Understand each class to master team coordination.

📊 Survivor Class Tier List

Tier Class Role Archetype Unlock Cost Why This Tier
S Tier Security Guard Support / Intel / Crowd Control 900 Scraps Camera tablet shuts down Ennard's Skin Stealer intel; Taser is the safest non-skill-based stun in the game.
A Tier Fighter Vanguard / Stunner 600 Scraps Parry mechanic radically alters chase dynamics. A skilled Fighter can indefinitely delay any killer through resource-efficient defensive play.
A Tier Medic Support / Longevity 400 Scraps "THE METHOD" kit neutralizes Springtrap's bleed, sustains the Fighter for extended chases, and resets the team's health economy mid-match.
B Tier Customer Survivalist / Self-Sustain Free (Default) Completely self-sufficient but brings zero team utility. Speed boost plus Slowness debuff creates a predictable vulnerability window that killers learn to exploit.

🏃 Class Deep Dives

Customer

Survivalist — Free Default Class

Free B Tier

The baseline survivor. Prioritizes self-preservation, extended evasion, and independent physiological sustainability — operating effectively outside the immediate support radius of the team.

Ability 1 — Speed Burst

Triggers an immediate movement speed boost for rapid chase escape. Critical penalty: When the effect expires, the Customer is inflicted with a temporary Slowness debuff, creating a predictable window of extreme vulnerability.

Ability 2 — Self-Heal

Provides self-administered health restoration. Removes the necessity for the Medic to abandon objectives for triage, making the Customer genuinely self-sufficient in solo-play scenarios.

⚠️ The Slowness Trap:

An uncoordinated Customer will be caught during the Slowness debuff window. Optimal play: use Speed Burst to create distance, then immediately communicate position so the Fighter can intercept the killer during the vulnerable period. Teams that coordinate around this debuff can completely neutralize it.

Fighter

Vanguard / Stunner — 600 Scraps

600 Scraps A Tier

The team's vanguard, designed for direct physical confrontation, killer delay, and interdiction. Equipped with a heavy Fire Axe (alternate Crowbar skin available). The Fighter fundamentally transitions the survivor from a passive, fleeing victim into an active, dangerous combatant.

Ability 1 — Stun Attack

Executes a direct, localized stun against the killer. This cannot be activated freely — it requires a specialized charge resource that must be built up first via successful parries.

Ability 2 — Parry

A defensive parry maneuver. Successfully parrying an incoming killer strike negates the damage and generates the requisite charge for the Stun Attack. High-risk, high-reward reflex mechanic.

⚔️ The Parry System — Advanced Notes:

Each killer has unique attack animations with different wind-up timings. Parrying The Mimic's lightning-fast 3-second cooldown punch in Strength Mode requires vastly different reflex timing and spatial distancing than parrying Ennard's extended, telegraphed Wire Grab. The Mimic in Speed Mode is extremely susceptible — 11 DMG swings with no endlag means a Fighter can continuously parry and build full Stun charge in seconds.

Medic

Support / Longevity Backbone — 400 Scraps

400 Scraps A Tier

The foundational backbone of the team's longevity. Dedicated exclusively to reversing the killer's damage output and sustaining team vitality across prolonged engagements.

Primary Tool — "THE METHOD"

The Medic is equipped with a specialized medical kit internally referenced in the game's lore as "THE METHOD." This kit is capable of rapidly healing the Medic's own injuries and applying crucial extra health pools to teammates, ensuring the Fighter and Customer can endure multiple chase rounds without being eliminated.

  • Neutralizes Springtrap's Bleed status effect rapidly
  • Allows the Fighter to sustain extended looping sessions
  • Critical resource: killers should drain it early to ensure fragility at endgame
⚠️ Killer Strategy vs. Medic:

Experienced killers specifically target the Medic early to force exhaustion of "THE METHOD" supplies. By ensuring the Medic has no kit resources in the late game, the killer guarantees the entire survivor team is fundamentally fragile during the climactic endgame escape push.

Security Guard

Tactical Commander / Intel Gatherer — 900 Scraps

900 Scraps S Tier

The tactical commander and primary intelligence gatherer. Focuses on spatial tracking, crowd control, and dictating safe routing for the objective-focused team.

Utility 1 — Taser

A localized Taser device capable of inflicting a severe slow or full stun on the killer. The ultimate emergency intervention tool — zero skill requirement, reliable effect, critical for the 5:00 AM escape rush.

Utility 2 — Security Tablet

A portable Security Tablet granting real-time remote access to environmental camera feeds across the map. Track killer movement without risking physical exposure. Warning: Ennard's Skin Stealer disguise appears as a friendly blue marker — the tablet is compromised when Ennard is the killer.

🤝 Optimal Team Synergy

💡 The "Full Squad" Composition

With a full team of 4, the ideal composition is one of each class. Here's how they interact during a crisis chase scenario:

Customer activates Speed Burst

Creates distance from the killer, but the Slowness debuff is incoming.

Security Guard monitors via Tablet

Tracks the chase, guides the Customer toward the Fighter's location, calls out the killer's route via voice chat.

Fighter intercepts as Slowness hits

Executes a precision Parry, negates the killer's strike, generates Stun charge, resets the entire chase dynamic.

Medic patches both up

Quickly applies "THE METHOD" to restore HP, then both return to generator repair with no downtime.
